The National Hospital Insurance Fund, NHIF is a department in the Ministry of Health mandated to provide medical insurance cover to the citizens of Kenya, registered under the cover. NHIF has branches in key places in the counties, created to aid in the registration of members, addition or amendment of members or dependents details, and to oversee the running of the national medical insurance scheme in the counties. NHIF services can also be accessed at all Huduma Centres across the country.
